Shades of Butter

Disregarding the roses, the butter on the left is the butter I made. To the right of it is the butter that Emma made. To the right of Emma's butter is store butter. Emma's is a shade yellower than mine, but both of the homemade ones are dramatically yellower than the store butter.

  1. The cream likes Emma better? Must be because she extracts it from Fiona. :)

Eggs are the same way. When I make scrambled eggs with store eggs, they are pale yellow. With my mother's homegrown eggs, they are almost orange.

  2. I think the difference is that Emma happened to use cream from several days of Fiona grazing really dark green plants down at the ditch.
