Disregarding the roses, the butter on the left is the butter I made. To the right of it is the butter that Emma made. To the right of Emma's butter is store butter. Emma's is a shade yellower than mine, but both of the homemade ones are dramatically yellower than the store butter.

The cream likes Emma better? Must be because she extracts it from Fiona. :)
Eggs are the same way. When I make scrambled eggs with store eggs, they are pale yellow. With my mother's homegrown eggs, they are almost orange.
I think the difference is that Emma happened to use cream from several days of Fiona grazing really dark green plants down at the ditch.
