Just when I thought Herb's Liber Usualis collection was complete, his friend Mickey tipped him off that there was a 1924 Liber with modern notation for auction on ebay. I thought the cover looked pretty nasty and wondered why he would bid on such a thing, but Herb thought it beautiful. He said that he has not seen a modern notation Liber come up for auction the whole time that he has been collecting them. I guess that would be about two years. He lost the auction by $1.
