Amazingly, last night Mickey texted Herb that another modern notation Liber had been listed on ebay. Herb, in true gunslinger fashion, was quick on the draw. He immediately logged on and clicked "Buy it Now". I pictured the other bidders all clutching their hearts, groaning, and falling into the dust as Herb sauntered away into the sunset, spurs clinking rhythmically, singing the Dies Irae.
Mickey, who already has a modern notation Liber, congratulated Herb on winning and suggested that Herb's collection was now complete. Then he warned Herb, "The next one is mine!" Somehow, I think, there is no such thing as a "complete" Liber collection.
The one who dies with the most Libers wins!

That "buy it now" feature can really bring some delightfully evil satisfaction.
I'm curious; does Herb use all those Libers? Or just one, and the rest are trophies? I'm picturing him showing up on Sundays with a suitcase...
Herb answers: I use a '62. Nathaniel uses a '61. The rest are loaned when necessary. I want to save them for future generations. The other reason is to play "the game" with Mickey.
Well, saving them for future generations is certainly a worthy endeavour. They're hard enough to find now.
