I found out last night while my husband was watching a football game on TV that the NFL is doing a breast cancer awareness "thing". Pink ribbons adorned the helmets. Their were pink shoes, towels, and even goal posts.
The ladies at the local grocery store customer service booth have been wearing pink t-shirts with this message emblazoned across their chests: SAVE THE TA-TAs!
There seem to be pink ribbons on everything, even food products. And this has been going on and on and on.
Maybe it's the Chinese Year of the Breast Cancer?
Or maybe breast cancer has been granted some kind of special status by Congress like "Most Favored Cancer"?
It seems awfully unfair to all the other cancers and diseases. Shouldn't we consider having a prostate cancer awareness crusade? We could all wear blue ribbons. The only problems is, I just don't know what we could put on a t-shirt. Prostates don't seem to have any cute nick-names. I'll have to work on that.

I am soooo tired of the pink thing. Seriously, where is all that money going? And it's all pink. I think some 10 or 15% of people with breast cancer are men. How do they feel?
