Yesterday Fr. Dwight Anderson celebrated his First Solemn High Mass at our parish, Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Dickinson, TX. Afterward, parishioners knelt at the altar rail to receive his first blessing.
The parish hosted a luncheon reception in Fr. Anderson's honor in the church hall. Miss Bernadette Matties and Miss Tara O'Neil served the priests and brother. A basket near the hall entrance filled quickly with cash and cards for the new priest.
Fr. Anderson was ordained last month at St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary in Winona, MN. To see lots of beautiful pictures from the priests' first masses, click here.
