Would You Like a Pun on a Bun?

This morning, after fixing a cup of tea, Emma stuck her nose in The Catholic Family News.

I said, "I want you to start reading Mastering the Art of French Cooking."

She said, "Don't you want me to finish reading about the Bilderbergers?
I laughed.
Are you?
French cooking/Bilder burgers. Get it? Pitiful, I know. As my children say, "Mom's cracking herself up again."

Sometimes, sad as it is, a joke can really only be enjoyed by the person who made it. It happens to me...but maybe I'm just loony.

To respond to your noodle question (btw, thanks for commenting!): I first made them a while ago to go with beef and gravy, but they're pretty much general purpose egg noodles. You can cook them right away if you want, without waiting for them to dry. They get kind of puffy that way, like a flat dumpling. The night I made those ones on my blog, I cooked some up fresh to put our Hungarian goulash over.

When Emma told Nathaniel about my "pun", he said that I should be pun-ished. Now we know that bad jokes are hereditary!

Thanks for following up on the noodles. I have printed out the recipe and am trying to figure out when we can work them in.
