From Woodstock to Cutting Wood

My brother-in-law Stephen is the only person I know who actually attended Woodstock. Despite all the negative things I have read about it--the drugs, the free love, the rock-and-roll, he grew up to be a completely normal, productive adult.

O.K., so he does get excited about wearing lumberjack protective gear. So does my husband.

Happy Birthday, Stephen!

Thanks Winifred!! Although I'm not sure that I actually qualify as normal, but chain saws are music to my ears!

Big Love,
Stephen

You should come over here and help Nathaniel cut down the pecan tree that's hanging over our roof! Then you could have stereo chainsaw music.

Oooh, I want a pair of those pants. I recently got talking into trying a small chain saw ("It's actually safer than using that ax the way you do, honey" -- hmmmm) and it was very handy, but I spent the whole time with this understanding of how EASY it would be to hit myself, and how if I used this thing enough I eventually was bound to do just that. So, I'm loving the chaps, I'm going to go look for some.

Marie,

The chaps and the helmet with shield and ear protection came from Northern Tool, about $70 for the whole set-up and well worth it.

Be careful!
