Easy Ghee

My friend Jennifer asked me how I make ghee.   I've been pretty discouraged with the method I learned when we first started the GAPS diet.  It involved lots of skimming, was time-consuming, and not that effective.  I persisted with it anyway.  But when Jennifer asked me, I started researching other methods. It's funny how I will continue doing something in a way that I don't like, but when someone asks me about it, that's when I look for a better way.  How nutty is that?  So the video above is the better way that I found this morning.  The instructors advise only using unsalted butter because the salt causes foaming.  I had never heard that before.    I will be much more regular about making ghee with this method.  I have come to really enjoy having this alternative oil for cooking.  It's so incredibly flavorful!

Ugh! I'm sorry this vid is hanging over the post border, but I can't change it. Usually there is a size option. If there is on this one, I could not find it.
